Job summary

Elitery is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Jakarta team in a hybrid role. You will develop backend and frontend components, design REST APIs, and integrate with databases and third‑party services to deliver reliable business solutions.

You should be proficient in Go, JavaScript/TypeScript or Python, with a solid understanding of clean code, testing, and security practices. Collaboration with product managers, QA, and other engineers is essential to maintain high quality and performance.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a Software/Backend/Full-Stack engineer.
• Strong programming fundamentals and software engineering principles.
• Proficiency in Go, Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, or Python.
• Experience with REST APIs, HTTP, authentication and authorization.
• Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Knowledge of clean code, modularity, error handling and testing.
• Able to debug and analyze problems systematically.
• Able to work collaboratively within a team.

Must-Have Qualifications

2. Strong understanding of programming fundamentals and software engineering principles.


3. Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Go, Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or other relevant languages. Go and JavaScript are preferred.


4. Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, authentication, and authorization.


5. Understanding of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.


6. Understanding of clean code principles, modularity, error handling, and software testing.


7. Ability to debug and analyze problems systematically.


8. Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

1. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.


2. Understanding of CI/CD practices.


3. Experience with Redis, message queues, or asynchronous processing.


4. Understanding of observability concepts, including logging, metrics, and tracing.


5. Experience building scalable and highly available systems.


6. Understanding of basic application security practices, including OWASP, API security, and secrets management.
