We’re looking for a Social Media Marketing Specialist to plan, create, and manage engaging content across Ascenda’s social media channels. You’ll help bring our brand to life through creative ideas, compelling copy, and visual content that build awareness, engage our audiences, and generate enquiries.

Role Description

This is a full-time, remote position. Candidates based in Jakarta or the surrounding Jabodetabek area are preferred.

The Social Media Specialist will manage Ascenda International Consultancy’s social media presence, create content to promote the company’s services and educational programmes, and help strengthen engagement with prospective students and partners. The role involves planning content calendars, creating and publishing posts, monitoring performance, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure content is accurate and aligned with the company’s goals. The specialist will also respond to social media enquiries and support digital marketing initiatives.

Responsibilites

• Manage Ascenda’s social media accounts across platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.
• Plan and maintain monthly content calendars to ensure content is scheduled and published consistently.
• Create engaging social media content, including graphics, captions, and short-form videos, tailored to different audiences, platforms, and programme offerings.
• Write clear, compelling copy and calls to action that encourage audience engagement and enquiries.
• Monitor content performance and recommend improvements to increase reach, engagement, and enquiries.
• Respond to social media comments and direct messages.
• Keep up with relevant social media trends and content formats, particularly in education and international study.
• Appear in videos when required to support content creation and programme promotion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• At least one year of relevant experience in social media management or content creation. Relevant internships, freelance work, and personal projects are welcome.
• Skills in content planning, copywriting, graphic design, and basic video editing.
• Ability to create engaging content suited to different social media platforms and target audiences.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Experience using Canva and CapCut.
• A portfolio showcasing relevant content creation or social media work.

Nice to Have

• Experience creating short-form videos, such as Instagram Reels or TikTok videos.
• Confidence appearing on camera.

• Familiarity with social media analytics and performance reporting tools.
