Job summary

Qoala is seeking an Accounting Associate for a 6-month contract in Jakarta, Indonesia. The role focuses on maintaining general ledger accuracy, balance sheet integrity, and supporting monthly/year-end closings.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of relevant experience, proficiency in Excel, and hands-on knowledge of Xero and Paper.id. VAT and PPh 23 understanding are a plus, with strong ownership and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• 2–3 years of relevant work experience preferred in financial services or brokerage/insurance.
• Proficiency in Excel and hands-on experience with Xero and Paper.id are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting tasks including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and data entry in Xero and Paper.id.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, with emphasis on non-revenue and non-COGS items.
• Ensure all balance sheet accounts are recorded, reconciled, and aged properly; investigate discrepancies.
• Assist in monthly and year-end closing processes with supporting documentation.
• Review weekly payments at Paper.id and assist in audit preparations.
