This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the financial and contractual management of our construction projects. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing project costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring that all construction work is completed within budget whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. This position is essential to the success of our projects and directly impacts our profitability and client satisfaction.
Preparing detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects based on architectural and engineering drawings
Analysing project specifications and identifying potential cost implications and value engineering opportunities
Managing contract documentation and ensuring accurate record-keeping of all variations, claims and amendments
Monitoring project expenditure and preparing regular cost reports to track spending against budgets
Negotiating with suppliers, contractors and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and manage costs effectively
Conducting site inspections and measurements to verify work progress and ensure compliance with contract specifications
Processing and evaluating contractor invoices and payment claims for accuracy and completeness
Preparing valuation reports and forecasting final project costs at key project milestones
Liaising with project managers, engineers and clients to resolve cost-related issues and provide commercial advice
Maintaining knowledge of current construction costs, material prices and market trends
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and standard practices in Indonesia
Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office applications
Excellent numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
Sound understanding of contract law and procurement processes
Experience managing project budgets and controlling costs on medium to large-scale projects
Strong communication and negotiation skills in both Indonesian and English
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Professional certification or membership with a recognised quantity surveying body (preferred)
Experience working on infrastructure or industrial projects (preferred)
