Job summary

ARM Consulting Structural Engineers in Jambi City, Jambi, seeks an experienced Site Engineer for a full-time on-site role overseeing civil and structural projects. You will ensure design and safety compliance, supervise activities, and liaise between design and construction teams.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in site supervision, strong drawing interpretation, and a solid understanding of Indonesian codes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years' experience as a Site Engineer or similar on-site supervisory role in civil/structural projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building materials, and structural principles.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Good understanding of building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements in Indonesia.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams including contractors, engineers, and clients.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with design drawings and specifications.
• Conduct daily site inspections and maintain site records, progress reports, and photos.
• Manage quality assurance and control, addressing deviations from project specs.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers for timely project delivery.
• Prepare and submit progress reports to management and stakeholders.
• Conduct site safety audits and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Liaise between design team and on-site teams to resolve technical queries and implement design changes.
• Verify material deliveries and conduct testing for compliance with specs.
• Manage site documentation including as-built drawings and test certificates.
• Assist in cost monitoring and identify efficiency improvements.

About the role

ARM Consulting Structural Engineers is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our team in Jambi City, Jambi. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the successful delivery of our civil and structural engineering projects. As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing construction activities on-site, ensuring that projects are executed in accordance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. This role is instrumental in maintaining quality control, managing timelines, and serving as the primary point of contact between our design office and construction teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with approved design drawings and specifications
• Conduct daily site inspections and maintain comprehensive site records, including progress reports and photographic documentation
• Manage quality assurance and quality control procedures, identifying and addressing any deviations from project specifications

What we're looking for

• Excellent understanding of building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements applicable in Indonesia
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams, including contractors, engineers, and clients
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and site management software
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
• Preferably holds relevant certifications such as NEBOSH or other occupational health and safety qualifications
