Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma with a degree in Civil/Mechanical/Structural Engineering or related field, plus experience.
• 7+ years as Structural Drafter or similar in EPCI, with team supervision preferred.
• Strong knowledge of API, AISC, ACI, ASCE codes and 3D/2D drafting standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of structural drafters to ensure timely completion of fabrication projects within EPCI.
• Review and interpret drawings and specs, guiding the team on detailed structural drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to align drafting with project objectives.
• Perform quality checks to ensure code compliance and drawing accuracy.
• Mentor team members and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Use CAD tools to create 3D models, assemblies, and shop drawings.
• Support materials procurement and constructability documentation.
• Keep up-to-date with industry practices and implement improvements.
