Job summary

Mekari in Jakarta, Indonesia, is hiring a Software Engineer who will develop front-end and back-end components for our SaaS products. You will collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions using Vue.js on the front end and Go on the back end, within containerized deployments.

You will work with DevOps, practice CI/CD and TDD, and help shape architecture with microservices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 year software engineering experience in a team setting.
• Strong knowledge and experience in Vue.js front-end and Go back-end.
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Kubernetes/Docker Swarm).
• Collaboration with product teams and stakeholders on technical development.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, TDD, code reviews, and microservices patterns.
• Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for teamwork.

Job Description

• Develop front-end & back-end components on the product or service that will impact thousands of businesses and millions of users.
• Work closely with Product Manager and other business stakeholders to develop solutions that delight our customers.
• Work with Technical Program Manager to run development lifecycle (concept, design, test, release, support).
• Work closely with DevOps to maintain the application in our infrastructure.
• Manage knowledge within the team in the form of written documentation surrounding technical requirements, deployments, and post-mortems.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 year software engineering experience in a team setting.
• Strong knowledge and experience both in modern front-end frameworks (Vue.js) and back-end frameworks (Go).
• Good knowledge and experience in scalable and high performance system especially in containers and container orchestration (i.e Kubernetes/Docker Swarm).
• Have experience for active and direct collaboration with product team related technical development for projects/services/features.
• Good understanding of modern software engineering practices such as TDD, continuous integration, code review, and microservices design patterns.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and frameworks such as Agile or Scrum.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with a focus on collaboration, understanding, and information sharing between team members and stakeholders.
• AI Expertise:
• Full-Stack AI Implementation: Design, code, test, and deploy end-to-end AI applications, custom internal tools, and autonomous agent workflows to automate complex business processes.
• AI-Assisted Development: Working proficiency with AI-assisted development (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) and LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.).
• LLM & AI Integration: Integrate state-of-the-art LLMs, multimodal models, vector databases, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures into robust internal software.
• Strong ability & experience to build and deploy custom solutions independently.
