Job summary

Digital Edge Data Center is seeking an experienced regional owner for mission-critical on-premises server infrastructure across its data centre portfolio. This role oversees over 100 physical servers and 180+ VMs, combining deep engineering with disciplined operations in a vendor-agnostic stack.

You will drive performance, capacity planning, and architecture for high-availability, replication, backup and disaster recovery, while building the multi-year technology roadmap and leading root-cause

Qualifications

• The candidate has 5+ years in server and compute infrastructure engineering in mission-critical environments.
• Hands-on expertise with HCI and virtualization platforms with vendor-agnostic mindset.
• Strong knowledge of firmware, out-of-band management, power, cooling and rack density.
• Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end performance engineering of high-performance server clusters.
• Lead capacity planning and forecast regional server estate growth.
• Define and track KPIs for cluster health, utilization, efficiency.
• Benchmark and evaluate new server hardware and HCI software releases.
• Design high-availability, clustering, backup and disaster recovery architectures.
• Develop multi-year roadmap for the server platform and lifecycle management.
• Run 24/7 operations, provisioning, patching, configuration and fault management.
• Drive standardisation of builds, images, configurations and runbooks.
