Job summary

Volex, a global power products manufacturer, is seeking a Senior QMS Engineer (Management Representative) to own and drive our Quality Management System at the Batam site. You will lead audits, strengthen risk-based processes, and support certification activities across ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001.

You will partner with engineering, operations and supply chain to embed quality by design, monitor KPIs, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years in QMS, quality systems, or automotive/manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949.
• Certified Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Good command of English.

Responsibilities

• Lead, maintain, and continually improve the Quality Management System.
• Ensure ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 / ISO 14001 compliance.
• Lead internal audit program with training and coaching.
• Serve as primary contact during certification and customer audits.
• Oversee CAPA to ensure long-term corrective action.
• Drive risk-based thinking with FMEA, Control Plans, KPIs.
• Facilitate Management Review Meetings and track trends.
• Lead QMS digitalization and continuous improvement.
• Promote quality ownership across departments.
