Job summary

Unknown Client in Jakarta is seeking a Senior PV Engineer to lead the engineering and technical development of solar PV projects. You will design rooftop, commercial, industrial, and utility-scale systems and perform energy yield analyses.

Lead sizing and simulations, review SLDs, ensure safety and standards compliance, and coordinate with stakeholders. You will mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in solar PV engineering or renewable energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of PV system design, electrical engineering principles, and solar energy technologies.
• Proficiency in PV design and simulation tools such as PVsyst and AutoCAD.
• Experience with technical drawings, energy yield analysis, and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of solar PV systems for rooftop, commercial, industrial, and utility-scale projects.

About the Role

Employment Type: Full-Time

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior PV Engineer to lead the engineering and technical development of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in PV system design, engineering analysis, project execution, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of solar PV systems for rooftop, commercial, industrial, and/or utility-scale projects.
• Perform PV system sizing, energy yield assessments, and performance simulations using industry-standard software.
• Develop and review technical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), layouts, cable sizing, and electrical specifications.
• Evaluate PV modules, inverters, mounting structures, and other system components.
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety requirements, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, consultants, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical support during procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Review technical documentation and ensure the quality and reliability of engineering deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in solar PV engineering or renewable energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of PV system design, electrical engineering principles, and solar energy technologies.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering tools such as PVsyst, AutoCAD, and/or other PV design and simulation software.
• Experience with technical drawings, energy yield analysis, equipment selection, and project documentation.
• Good understanding of applicable electrical standards, grid connection requirements, and safety regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead technical activities across multiple projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in commercial and industrial (C&I) or utility-scale solar PV projects.
• Experience with grid-connected PV systems, battery energy storage systems (BESS), or hybrid solar systems.
• Professional engineering certifications or relevant technical training.
• Experience working with utilities, EPC contractors, consultants, or renewable energy developers.
