Job summary

PT FENI HALTIM in Indonesia seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead and supervise the design team on large-scale projects, coordinating engineers, designers, and external consultants to deliver concepts from initial design through final construction documents.

Requirements include 5+ years in engineering, design, and management in Indonesia, 3 years in design management and interdisciplinary coordination, English proficiency, Mandarin preferred, and readiness to work in East Halmahera, North

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering, design, and engineering management experience in Indonesia
• Minimum 3 years in engineering/design management and interdisciplinary coordination
• Extensive experience with local Indonesian design firms and with workflows and standards of Indonesian design consulting
• Experience in design coordination for large-scale projects; prior experience with Chinese-funded or international teams is preferred
• Willing to work in East Halmahera, North Maluku under roster; candidates from East Halmahera or North Maluku are preferred

Position: Senior Project Engineer

Requirements:

Good command of English; proficiency in Mandarin is preferred.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in engineering, design, and engineering management in Indonesia.

Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering/design management and interdisciplinary coordination.

Extensive experience working with local Indonesian design firms (Konsultan Perencana) and specialized consulting firms, with a strong understanding of the workflows, practices, and standards of the Indonesian design consulting industry.

Experience in design coordination for large-scale industrial projects, commercial complexes, or infrastructure projects will be given preference.

Experience working with Chinese-funded companies or international project teams is preferred.

Willing to work in East Halmahera, North Maluku, under a roster system.

Candidates domiciled in East Halmahera or North Maluku are preferred.

Job Description:

1. Lead and Supervise the Team

Direct designer team members in working on visual or technical projects.

Monitor the team's daily performance to ensure productivity and creativity.

Provide feedback, guidance, and training to improve team members' skills.

2. Manage Design Projects

Organize the workflow from the initial concept creation stage to final completion.

Ensure each project is completed on time and within budget.

Maintain consistent quality standards and company brand guidelines for every work.

Convey directions or decisions from upper management to the team.

Report project progress and team performance to management.

Coordinate technical interfaces between consultants, internal teams, and other relevant stakeholders.

Coordinate with other divisions (such as marketing or clients) regarding design needs.
