Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm, is partnering with a leading organisation in the Industrial sector to hire a Senior Project Manager. This opportunity is based in Greater Jakarta, Indonesia.
Position Overview
Lead the successful execution of complex engineering projects from handover through completion, ensuring effective stakeholder coordination and project governance.
Drive project delivery excellence by managing schedules, budgets, contracts, risks, tender activities, and cross-functional collaboration to support organisational growth and operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project activities from the handover process from Sales to Project Management, ensuring clear project organisation, communication lines, stakeholder coordination, and documentation.
- Analyse contracts and project scope to assess project requirements, schedules, commercial considerations, and potential risks.
- Review and monitor project budgets, including coordination with other projects and preliminary communication with vendors.
- Coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure effective communication and alignment.
- Develop detailed schedules and distribute project plans and information to relevant stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder engagement and maintain effective communication with both internal teams and external parties.
- Monitor and control project scope, schedule, quality, and overall project progress.
- Coordinate with logistics, transportation, and customs clearance stakeholders to support smooth project execution.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project lessons learned and internal knowledge sharing.
- Manage documentation and processes related to internal claims.
- Support negotiation and resolution of external claims with relevant stakeholders.
- Support the Sales function with tender preparation and related project input.
Key Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management within engineering, energy, or related industries.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in tender preparation and tender management.
- Previous experience in the hydropower industry is mandatory.
- Experience in contract management, claims, project documentation, and project execution is highly preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in an international and cross-cultural environment.
Technical / Functional Expertise
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering, including mechanical drawings and knowledge of production, machining, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review project scope, budgets, schedules, contracts, and project risks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, business/formal correspondence, and project scheduling tools.
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities with experience coordinating internal and external parties.
- Experience coordinating logistics, transportation, and customs clearance activities within project environments.
