DHI is seeking a Senior .NET Backend Engineer to join our Software Projects team in Jakarta. You will design, develop, and support backend applications and services used by clients across APAC and globally.

You will collaborate with international teams, deliver high-quality features, and help ensure system reliability, scalability, and production stability. A strong sense of ownership and communication in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong backend development with C# and .NET, APIs, databases, and software architecture.
• Professional English proficiency, written and spoken.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior .NET Backend Engineer to join our Software Projects team in Jakarta. You will develop, maintain, and support software solutions and decision support systems used by clients across APAC and globally.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building reliable systems, and collaborating in a diverse international environment.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, maintain, and support backend applications and services.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. A master's degree is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software development or a related role.
• Strong backend development experience with C# and .NET.
• Experience delivering software solutions in enterprise or commercial environments.
• Good understanding of software engineering principles, clean code, application architecture, databases, and APIs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in international teams.
• Professional English proficiency, written and spoken, at B2 level or higher.

Nice to Have

• Azure, cloud-native technologies, Docker, or containerization.
• Automated testing and software quality assurance.
• Python, data engineering, or AI-assisted development tools.
• GIS platforms such as ArcGIS or QGIS.
• Real-time monitoring, decision support systems, or water and environment sector experience.
• DHI MIKE technologies or similar domain‑specific platforms.
