PT Bimatekno Karyatama Konsultan in Jakarta is seeking a Senior Hydraulic Engineer to lead the design and delivery of building services hydraulic systems across diverse projects. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• 7+ years in a consulting engineering environment delivering building services.
• Strong expertise in plumbing, sanitary, drainage, stormwater, and water supply.
• Proven experience leading hydraulic design on medium to large projects.
• Knowledge of Indonesian and international standards and design practices.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent English and Bahasa Indonesia communication.
• Proficiency in relevant design software.
• Desirable SKK SDP-PL or equivalent certification.

Responsabilités

• Lead design and delivery of hydraulic engineering packages from feasibility to construction support.
• Prepare and review calculations, reports, specifications, schedules, and docs.
• Design plumbing, sanitary, drainage, stormwater, rainwater, and water systems.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, fire, structural, architectural, and BIM disciplines.

The Opportunity

The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Senior Hydraulic (Plumbing & Sanitary) Engineer to join our Buildings MEP team in Jakarta. This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer who is passionate about delivering high-quality building services solutions and enjoys leading the design and delivery of complex hydraulic systems across a diverse range of projects. You will play a key role in delivering plumbing, drainage, sanitary, stormwater, rainwater harvesting, and water supply systems while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients. You will also contribute to the development of junior engineers through technical guidance, mentoring, and coaching.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of hydraulic engineering packages across all project stages, from feasibility and concept design through to detailed design and construction support.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, reports, specifications, schedules, and technical documentation.
• Design plumbing, sanitary, drainage, stormwater, rainwater, recycled water, and water supply systems for a variety of building sectors.
• Coordinate effectively with mechanical, electrical, fire, structural, architectural, and BIM disciplines to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Act as a technical lead on projects, ensuring designs are practical, compliant, and aligned with client requirements.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and day-to-day support to junior engineers and BIM designers.
• Review and check design deliverables to maintain high standards of quality and technical excellence.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular engagement and proactive communication.
• Participate in client meetings, workshops, presentations, and technical discussions.
• Collaborate with regional teams across Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore to deliver projects efficiently.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, technical innovation, and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Maintain professional development and stay current with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 7+ years' experience in a consulting engineering environment delivering building services projects.
• Strong technical expertise in plumbing, sanitary, drainage, stormwater, and water supply systems.
• Proven experience leading hydraulic design packages on medium to large-scale building projects.
• Sound knowledge of relevant Indonesian and international standards and design practices.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project delivery.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Proficiency in relevant design and engineering software.
• Possession of, or progress towards, a relevant Indonesian SKK (Sertifikat Kompetensi Kerja) certification such as Plumbing & Sanitary Systems (SDP-PL), Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent professional engineering accreditation is highly desirable.
