Job summary

China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) is seeking a senior mining business development leader to identify opportunities and drive project acquisitions in Indonesia. You will build relationships with government authorities, mining owners and investors, and guide opportunities from assessment to development.

The role requires extensive experience in mining BD, strong industry networks in Indonesia, and the ability to navigate regulations like RKAB, IUP and IUPK.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the mining industry, preferably in metal mining.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a project leadership or senior management role.
• Strong experience in mining business development and project acquisition in Indonesia.
• Strong network within the Indonesian mining industry, including government, mining owners and investors.
• Good understanding of Indonesian mining regulations and licensing such as RKAB, IUP and IUPK.
• Knowledge of nickel, copper, gold, bauxite or iron ore mining.
• Familiarity with JORC and/or NI 43-101 standards.
• Experience in Feasibility Study (FS) preparation or review.
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management and business development skills.
• Candidates with both mining technical and commercial experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and identify new mining business opportunities in Indonesia.
• Build and maintain relationships with government authorities, mining companies, project owners, investors and other key stakeholders.
• Identify and evaluate potential mining projects from resource assessment through project development.
• Support mining project acquisition, government approvals and business negotiations.
• Develop and negotiate business cooperation models including equity partnership, EPC and EPC+F.
• Coordinate with technical teams and support the review of PFS, FS and other technical studies.
• Assess project risks and provide commercial and investment-related recommendations.
