Job summary

Alcon is seeking a Sr. Associate, Packaging Engineering to design, develop, and optimize packaging systems for medical devices and related products.

You will lead material evaluation, prototype testing, and collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, and regulatory teams to ensure robust, compliant packaging solutions. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in packaging engineering, strong knowledge of packaging materials, CAD proficiency, and experience with IQ/OQ/PQ and labeling compliance;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of packaging engineering experience in regulated manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of packaging materials and their performance characteristics.
• Experience with CAD tools and engineering documentation.
• Familiarity with GxP, ISO 11607, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, EU MDR.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize packaging systems to meet requirements.
• Lead prototype design, testing, and line trials for new concepts.
• Oversee packaging equipment, automation, and inspection systems.
• Ensure quality, regulatory adherence, and risk management in packaging.
• Manage artwork, labeling, and documentation changes.
