Job summary

PT CTCI International Indonesia is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead design reviews, align scope with Mechanical Lead, and ensure compliance with ASME/API/ANSI on rotating equipment.

You will collaborate with process, piping, electrical and civil teams, prepare datasheets and specifications, perform bid evaluations, and support site activities from FEED through commissioning. A 5+ year track record and AutoCAD proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering consultant or EPC contractor.
• Experience in bidding activities is an advantage.
• Experience in FEED is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals.
• Strong understanding of design codes such as ASME, API, ANSI.
• Ability to prepare Mechanical Datasheets and Specifications and conduct Technical Bid Evaluations for rotating equipment.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
• Fluent English in written and spoken; Mandarin is an advantage.
• Certificate of Competence with Associate Expert in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Willing to be assigned to site if required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Mechanical Lead Engineer to align the design scope and objectives.
• Review project requirements, technical specifications, and applicable codes and standards, and participate in design reviews and quality assurance processes to ensure compliance.
• Support project planning and execution by engaging in relevant meetings, performing necessary quality assurance and design verification activities.
• Carry out engineering design for various mechanical rotary equipment such as pumps, compressors, agitators, fans, blowers, etc.
• Develop and review engineering documents, including specifications, datasheets, and other design documents, as part of project design and documentation requirements.
• Prepare technical requisition and bid evaluation.
• Review and comment on vendor’s documents.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to achieve fully integrated system design and execution.
• Contribute to technical input during bidding activities and support execution to meet timelines and cost targets.
• Provide technical input and support throughout procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Assist in testing and commissioning activities, including site visits and surveys, factory acceptance test, and provide technical support during construction by addressing site queries and reviewing on-site conditions.
• Proactively identify technical issues and risks and take corrective and preventive actions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement within the discipline and organization, including development of work instructions, design guidelines, and value engineering initiatives.
