Job summary

Buma Group is seeking an experienced operational manager with a marine engineering background to lead maintenance and reliability initiatives in North Jakarta. You will oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs, ensure equipment readiness, and improve KPI reporting for continuous performance gains.

Ideal candidates have 4–5 years in shipping operations, strong English skills, and certifications including ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISM Code, and DPA. ASAP availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering or ATT certification.
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in operational management, team leadership, or similar roles within the shipping industry.
• Mandatory experience in a shipping company.
• In-depth knowledge of marine engineering principles and practices.
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
• Certification in ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISM Code, and DPA.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all equipment and boat machinery are in operational readiness, minimizing unplanned downtime.
• Develop and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failures.
• Continuously analyze team performance, equipment conditions, and spare part availability.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report results regularly.
