Job summary

Majura AI is a pre-seed startup building the operating system and agentic AI layer for Indonesia's logistics ecosystem. This is our first senior engineering hire, reporting directly to the CTO, to own architecture across our product surface as we scale into Q4.

Surabaya, Hybrid (3 days/week in office) — remote considered for eligible candidates. Rp.15 – 45 juta /month, based on experience. Compensation includes profit sharing, performance bonus, and a learning budget.

Qualifications

• Real production experience with Kotlin or JVM-based services.
• Architectural ownership of multiple products, from API contracts to data models.
• Proven ability to design scalable backend and collaborate with frontend teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Self-directed, able to work with ambiguity and without heavy process.

Responsibilities

• Own systems end-to-end: API contracts, data models, service boundaries and performance.
• Architect and defend design choices in code reviews.
• Build and evolve AI infrastructure as the company scales.
• Develop, deploy, monitor, and operate services without handing off to ops.
• Mentor two junior engineers through code reviews and pairing.
