Job summary

Majura AI in Surabaya is hiring its first senior engineering hire to own architecture across our product surface as we scale into Q4. Reporting to the CTO, you’ll lead Kotlin-based backend systems, set API contracts, data models, and service boundaries while shipping fast.

You’ll build our AI infrastructure from the ground up, deploy and monitor your services, and mentor two junior engineers. The role is hybrid (3 days in office) with a remote option for eligible candidates, offering Rp15-45

Qualifications

• Real production experience designing schemas, debugging at scale, and monitoring systems.
• Self-direction: ability to ask good questions and then go.
• Strong writing: design docs, API docs, PR descriptions.
• Comfort with ambiguity: make decisions with incomplete information.
• Fluent in English: professional proficiency in speaking and writing.

Responsibilities

• Work autonomously with minimal queues or committees.
• Own systems end-to-end: APIs, data models, service boundaries, performance.
• Build our AI infrastructure from scratch and grow with the company.
• You build it, you run it: deploy, monitor, fix.
• Mentor two junior engineers: code reviews and pairing.
