Job summary

Novus Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Senior Finance Staff to manage daily financial transactions including revenue, expenses, AP, and AR within a hotel environment. You will ensure proper documentation, support transactions per policies, and maintain audit-ready records.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and 1–2 years of related experience, with strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or a related position.
• Solid understanding of journal entries, AP, AR, bank reconciliation, and financial statements.
• Basic understanding of Indonesian taxation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (SUMIF/SUMIFS, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, PivotTables).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate daily financial transactions (revenue, expenses, AP, AR).
• Ensure transactions are supported and recorded per company policies.
• Maintain organized financial records for audit and reporting.
• Review invoices and payment requests from vendors and hotel operations.
• Verify accuracy and proper authorization of payments.
• Prepare payment schedules and process payments per terms.
• Monitor outstanding payables and reconcile with vendor statements.
• Monitor hotel receivables including corporate accounts and OTAs.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and monitor cash balances.
• Coordinate with operations, purchasing, and sales on financial matters.

Job description

Senior Finance Staff responsible for managing financial transactions, accounts payable and receivable, bank and cash management, and providing support to finance operations in a hotel or hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

Record and maintain accurate daily financial transactions, including revenue, expenses, accounts payable, and accounts receivable

Ensure all transactions are properly supported by valid documentation and recorded in accordance with company accounting policies

Maintain organized financial records and supporting documents for audit and reporting purposes

Review invoices, payment requests, and supporting documents from vendors and hotel operations

Verify the accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization of payments

Prepare payment schedules and process payments in accordance with agreed payment terms

Monitor outstanding payables and perform reconciliation with vendor statements

Monitor hotel receivables, including corporate accounts, travel agents, online travel agencies (OTAs), and other customers

Perform regular bank reconciliations and monitor cash balances

Coordinate with hotel operations, purchasing, sales, and other departments regarding financial matters

About you

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related field

Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or a related position

Good understanding of basic accounting principles, including journal entries, AP, AR, bank reconciliation, and financial statements

Basic understanding of Indonesian taxation

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas such as SUMIF/SUMIFS, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, PivotTables, and basic data analysis

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Able to manage multiple tasks and meet monthly closing deadlines

Good communication and coordination skills

High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling financial information
