Accor's Novotel Samator Surabaya Timur seeks an experienced hotel accounting professional to oversee financial reporting and control functions for a 264+ room property. You will manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow while ensuring compliance with GAAP and local regulations.

You will lead the accounting and night audit teams, optimize financial systems, and report to senior management and ownership, contributing to strategic decision-making in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA/CA/CMA/ACCA is advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years in hotel accounting or hospitality finance in a 4-star/264+ room property.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow.
• Proficiency with hotel accounting systems, PMS, POS, and finance software; advanced Excel.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Lead annual operating budget process and periodic forecasts with department heads.
• Monitor revenue, expenses, payroll, payables/receivables, and GL reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws, licensing, insurance, and GAAP.
• Supervise accounting and night audit teams; develop staff.
• Develop internal controls to prevent fraud and manage financial risk.
• Oversee accounting software and financial systems for accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and external stakeholders.

Job Description

• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement with accuracy and timeliness.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual operating budget process and periodic financial forecasts in collaboration with department heads and General Manager to support strategic planning.
• Cost & Cash Flow Control: Monitor daily revenue, expenses, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation to safeguard hotel assets and optimize cash position.
• Compliance & Auditing: Ensure the property's compliance with local tax laws, licensing requirements, insurance obligations, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and direct the accounting and night audit teams to maintain high standards of transaction accuracy and professional development.
• Internal Controls & Risk Management: Develop and implement robust internal control procedures to prevent fraud, minimize financial risks, and ensure operational integrity across all accounting functions.
• Financial System Management: Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of accounting software and financial systems to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
• Stakeholder Reporting & Communication: Prepare and present financial reports and performance metrics to senior management, ownership, and external stakeholders to support informed decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA, CA, CMA, or ACCA is advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in hotel accounting or hospitality finance within a 4-star hotel chain or international property with 264+ rooms.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Proficiency with hotel accounting systems, PMS, POS, and finance software, plus advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Solid understanding of tax regulations, statutory reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of USALI (Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry) is advantageous.
