Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Batam, Indonesia is seeking a Senior Engineer in Quality Engineering to drive excellent quality performance by developing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS). You will lead efforts to foster a proactive quality culture across the value chain, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 3 years of quality engineering experience. Strong knowledge of quality management systems, excellent leadership skills, and experience in semiconductor manufacturing are preferred.

Your Role

As Senior Engineer Quality Engineering you are responsible for leading the excellent quality performance by developing, deploying, and maintaining our Quality Management System (QMS). In this role, you will drive quality culture across the entire value chain from suppliers to production partners and internal teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards (such as IATF) and customer requirements. You will foster a proactive quality mindset, lead audit preparations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve zero defect and support management targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Define, develop, deploy, and maintain a Quality Management System and systematic processes and methods, considering standards and customer requirements.
• Develop policies, procedures, and methods to verify product, material, and component reliability along the entire value chain (in house, production partner, material supplier) and operational quality improvements.
• Develop and implement strategy, approaches, concepts, methodologies, and programs to establish and maintain quality standards for existing and planned future technologies, packages, products, and services, as well as for proactive and reactive quality services for internal and external customers.
• Develop programs to focus employees on a quality mindset and a sustainable quality culture, fostering a healthy deviation culture.

Your Profile

Qualifications and Skills

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Chemical / Mechanicalengineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality engineering, with a focus on Chemical / Mechanical or systems quality.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, such as ISO 9001, and quality engineering methodologies, such as Six Sigma or Lean.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate quality risks.
• Experience with semiconductor manufacturing is preferable.
