Job summary

Asia Pulp and Paper is seeking an Electrical System Operation Specialist to ensure safe, reliable operation of LV/MV/HV electrical systems in our facilities. The role includes monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance coordination, and shutdown support across power plants and heavy industry sites.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years in power utilities or heavy industry, strong knowledge of protection, switchgear, and generator systems, and proficiency in

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
3+ years of experience in power plants, utilities, smelters, mining, manufacturing or heavy industry.

Responsibilities

Ensure reliable operation of LV 400V, MV 3.3kV/6.3kV/11kV, and HV 20kV/150kV systems.
Monitor transformers, MCCs, MV/HV switchgear, generators and power quality.
Support generator synchronization, load flow, power factor correction, load shedding, and black-start activities.
Investigate alarms, trips, outages, and recurring electrical failures.
Coordinate preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance through SAP PM.
Plan and support electrical work during shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency restoration.
Verify protection relay settings and maintain as-built drawings.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and ISO audits.
