Job summary

MatchaTalent seeks a seasoned Customs Clearance Manager to lead end-to-end import/export compliance for our client. You will act as a key signatory for customs docs, develop strategic compliance programs, and partner with authorities and internal teams to ensure smooth cross-border operations.

You will oversee audits, HS code classification, valuation, and origin rules, while monitoring regulatory updates and guiding risk mitigation in a fast-paced multinational setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
• PPJK Certification is highly preferred.
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in Customs Clearance, International Trade, Logistics Management, or Supply Chain Management with exposure to import/export operations.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in global trade compliance or customs governance within multinationals.
• Strong experience in ICT, telecommunications, technology, electronics manufacturing, FMCG or other high-volume industries.
• Deep understanding of Indonesian customs regulations, HS code, valuation, and related compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end customs clearance operations for import and export activities with full regulatory compliance.
• Act as an authorized signatory for customs documentation including export declarations (PEB).
• Develop and implement customs compliance strategies, policies, and procedures for efficient international trade.
• Build and maintain relationships with customs authorities and regulatory bodies.
• Lead customs audits, regulatory inspections, and responses to audit findings and inquiries.
• Oversee tariff classification (HS Code), valuation, rules of origin, and related requirements.
• Monitor regulatory changes and translate them into actionable business processes.
• Assess risks and mitigate bottlenecks to minimize delays and exposure.
• Collaborate with supply chain, logistics, legal, finance and regional teams to ensure compliance.
