Qualifications

• At least 5 years experience as a Pattern Maker or Shoe Pattern Maker.
• Strong understanding of footwear construction.
• Knowledge of different types of footwear materials.
• Ability to interpret design sketches and measurements into accurate patterns.

Responsibilities

• Meeting with product designers to discuss the base design and review final product.
• Collaborate with designers to understand and interpret new shoe designs.
• Create accurate patterns based on designs and measurements.
• Ensure patterns promote efficient use of materials and meet quality standards.
• Test patterns for fit and functionality.
• Modify patterns based on feedback from fit tests and production teams.
• Assist in grading of sizes.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure accuracy in pattern replication.
• Maintain detailed records of patterns created.
• Stay updated with latest trends in footwear design and pattern making techniques.
• Reading and interpreting design models and blueprints.
• Measuring, cutting, and designing patterns in the material required.
• Double-checking the pattern dimensions and style.
• Sending the initial pattern for a manufacture check.
