Job summary

PT Ajaib Sekuritas Asia in Indonesia is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer II to join Shared Services. You will build and run backend services behind investor journey including KYC, partner integrations, portfolio, watchlist, homepage and growth features, owning features end-to-end within your team and mentoring peers for reliability and speed.

You’ll design scalable APIs, ensure observability, collaborate with Product, Ops, and Architecture to turn requirements into robust solutions, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years backend engineering at scale.
• Proficient in Java or Go and modern backend stacks.
• Strong in microservices, REST/gRPC, and event-driven design.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, Redis, Kafka.
• Cloud experience with GCP or AWS; CI/CD and containers.
• Ownership mindset and clear communication; fintech experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Own features end-to-end from design to production and monitoring.
• Integrate with external partners like KYC providers and banks.
• Write clean, tested code and participate in reviews.
• Respond to incidents, diagnose root causes, and ship fixes.
• Improve performance, reliability, and observability.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and share knowledge.
• Collaborate with Product, Ops, Business, and Architecture.
