Job summary

Pensieve in Jakarta is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to own the full accounting cycle from daily transactions to audit-ready financial statements, working closely with the Finance Manager to raise the finance team's standards.

You will lead month-end close, prepare statements under SAK Indonesia, manage audit schedules, and supervise reconciliations including intercompany and foreign currency transactions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a start-up and/or PMA company.
• Strong knowledge of SAK Indonesia (PSAK 109, 115, and 116) and Indonesian tax regulations.
• Experience preparing audit-ready financial statements.
• Understanding of intercompany transactions and foreign currency translation.
• Public accounting background, preferably Big 4.
• Brevet A/B certification.

Responsibilities

• Own the full accounting cycle: review and approve journal entries, account classifications, and month-end adjustments.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing within a D+10 timeline.
• Prepare financial statements (balance sheet, profit and loss, cash flow, and notes) in accordance with SAK Indonesia.
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documents, and act as the main point of contact for external auditors.
• Supervise bank, receivable, payable, and intercompany reconciliations, including foreign currency transactions.
• Ensure monthly tax compliance (PPh 21, 23, 4(2), 26, and VAT) and support annual corporate tax filing in coordination with the external tax consultant.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on the company's financial health and liquidity.
• Build and document SOPs, closing checklists, and process flowcharts, and identify workflow improvements.
• Coach and review the work of junior finance staff.
