Job summary

PT Putragaya Wahana is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to supervise daily accounting activities in Jakarta, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with Indonesian standards.

You will oversee accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, month-end close, bank reconciliations, budgeting support, and collaboration with auditors, while mentoring the accounting team to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in accounting, with supervisory or senior-level exposure.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, reconciliation, and month-end closing.
• Good understanding of Indonesian accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Experience with accounting software/ERP systems and strong Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in property/real estate, hospitality, retail, or asset-intensive industries is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day accounting activities for accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Review and monitor accounting transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, billing, and journal entries.
• Ensure all accounting records are maintained in compliance with policies and standards.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Monitor the monthly closing process and ensure accounts are reconciled and adjusted.
• Perform and review bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Ensure proper recording and monitoring of accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, depreciation, and provisions.
• Coordinate with other departments to obtain accurate and complete financial information.
• Assist in preparing financial analysis, management reports, and financial schedules for management review.
• Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide required supporting documents.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Supervise, coach, and develop accounting team members to ensure effective performance.
• Support the Accounting Manager / Finance Manager in various accounting and financial projects as required.
