We are seeking an experienced Safety Officer to implement Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) practices, particularly in field activities involving heavy equipment and material transport. The candidate is expected to actively conduct supervision, be firm on violations, and ensure safety procedures are properly executed.
Key responsibilities
Supervise the implementation of OSH in daily operational activities.
Conduct inspections of work areas, heavy equipment, vehicles, PPE usage, and safety documentation completeness.
Identify hazards, assess risks, and prepare and update HIRADC and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and OSH education for employees and contractors.
Follow up on unsafe conditions and actions, including stopping dangerous work in accordance with authority and company procedures.
Handle HSE administration, work permits, and Contractor Safety Management System (CSMS) documents.
Report and assist in investigations of accidents, incidents, and near misses, then monitor corrective actions.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports.
Ensure readiness of fire extinguishers, first aid equipment, and emergency response procedures.
Coordinate with operational teams and work providers regarding safety standards and work access requirements.
About you
Minimum D3/S1 education, preferably in OSH, Engineering, or Public Health.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Safety Officer or HSE Officer.
Valid General OSH Expert certificate.
Understanding of OSH inspections, HIRADC, JSA, work permits, incident investigation, and CSMS administration.
Experience in mining, cement industry, logistics, or heavy equipment operations is an advantage.
Able to use Microsoft Office and prepare reports neatly.
Firm, thorough, communicative, and able to work independently and coordinate with field teams.
Willing to work in the field and conduct visits to operational locations.
