Job summary

PT. Prima Solid Energik is seeking a Safety Supervisor to oversee the implementation of safety and occupational health standards across all work areas in the Indonesian site.

You will lead a safety team, conduct inspections, identify hazards, and manage risk assessments. The role requires a minimum D3/S1 in OHS or related field, a current safety certification, and experience with SMK3, HIRADC/JSA, and safety SOPs.

Qualifications

• Minimum D3/S1 qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field
• 1+ year of certification in occupational safety preferred
• Knowledge of SMK3, HIRADC/JSA, Safety SOP and Permit to Work

Responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of safety and occupational health standards and procedures in work areas
• Lead and direct the Safety team in daily activities
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure follow-up on findings
• Identify hazards and conduct risk assessments
• Ensure compliance with Permit to Work, JSA/HIRADC, SOP, and PPE requirements
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox meetings, and OHS trainings
• Investigate workplace accidents and near misses and prepare corrective actions
• Prepare safety reports for management
• Monitor compliance of workers and contractors with OHS requirements
• Coordinate with departments to improve workplace safety

Job description

A Safety Supervisor role responsible for overseeing the implementation of safety and occupational health standards and procedures in the workplace. The position involves leading a safety team, conducting inspections, identifying hazards, managing risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures across all work areas.

Key responsibilities

Oversee the implementation of safety and occupational health standards and procedures in work areas

Lead and direct the Safety team in daily activities

Conduct safety inspections and ensure follow-up on findings

Identify hazards and conduct risk assessments

Ensure completeness and compliance with Permit to Work, JSA/HIRADC, SOP, and PPE requirements

Conduct safety induction, toolbox meetings, and occupational health education programmes

Investigate workplace accidents and near misses and prepare corrective action recommendations

Prepare occupational health and safety reports on a regular basis for management

Monitor compliance of workers and contractors with occupational health and safety requirements

Coordinate with relevant departments to improve workplace safety implementation

About you

Minimum D3/S1 qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field

Minimum 3 years of work experience in Safety/Occupational Health and Safety, particularly in Safety Officer/Staff or Supervisor positions

Relevant and current occupational health and safety certification

Understanding of SMK3 implementation, HIRADC/JSA, Safety SOP, and Permit to Work

Understanding of safety inspection procedures, accident/incident investigation, and corrective actions

Ability to conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards in work areas

Understanding of PPE use and supervision and application of workplace safety standards

Ability to conduct safety briefings/toolbox meetings and provide occupational health and safety training to workers

Ability to monitor compliance with SOP and occupational health and safety regulations in the field

Ability to prepare reports related to incidents, workplace accidents, inspections, safety findings, and safety statistics
