Job summary

PT Halmahera Persada Lygend is seeking a Risk Management Specialist to lead risk policy updates, assessments, and controls review across the company’s mining operations. The role involves preparing SOPs, risk registers, and reports, plus guiding process owners and supporting external audits.

You should hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering (metallurgical, mechanical, electrical, or physics) and a professional risk management certification (CRMO/CRMP/ERMCP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering fields and professional risk management certification (CRMO/CRMP/ERMCP) or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in risk management; mining or consulting experience is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of ISO 31000, Compliance Risk, ESG Risk, and IFRS.
• Ability to design, analyze, and monitor control systems across processes.

Responsibilities

• Update risk management policies and procedures.

This role involves managing and implementing risk management policies, procedures, and assessments across all business units of the company. You will identify and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of business processes and controls, prepare policies and standard operating procedures, and provide guidance to process owners in developing risk registers.

About you

Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics

Must hold a professional risk management certification such as CRMO, CRMP, or ERMCP

Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management work (experience in consulting or mining industry is an advantage)

Understanding of ISO 31000 application, Compliance Risk processes, ESG Risk, and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

Understanding of smelting and refinery business processes

Ability to design, analyse, and monitor control systems for all company business processes

Strong time management, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in Indonesian and English communication (Mandarin language proficiency is an advantage)

Willing to undertake business travel to site with frequency of 6-8 times per year
