Job summary

Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading retail company in Medan, North Sumatra. The Merchandising & Planning Manager will oversee merchandising strategy, assortment planning, inventory management, and commercial performance to drive sales and profitability across the retail network.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in merchandising, merchandise planning, retail analytics, and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Statistics, or related field.
Minimum 6 years in merchandising, category management, buying, demand planning, or replenishment with multi-site retail experience.
Strong commercial and analytical skills in assortment planning, pricing, promotions, supplier negotiation.
Advanced Excel and ERP/POS/BI skills with strong numerical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute category strategies and commercial plans based on customer needs and growth priorities.
Manage customer-led assortment planning across categories, store clusters, and formats.
Lead demand forecasting, replenishment planning, and inventory optimization.
Develop pricing and margin strategies; lead supplier negotiations.
Build dashboards and improve data-driven merchandising processes.
