Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Jakarta is seeking a Restaurants, Bars & Experiences Intern to support daily RB&E operations, assist in delivering exceptional guest experiences, and coordinate across outlets to uphold MO’s high service standards.

You will report to the RB&E Manager, work with outlet teams, and participate in administrative tasks, inventory tracking, and service flow coordination, gaining hands-on hospitality experience in a luxury hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Culinary Arts, or related field.
• Strong interest in Restaurants, Bars & Experiences operations and hospitality service excellence.
• Good command of English with basic communication skills.

About the Job

Based at Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta, the Restaurants, Bars & Experiences Intern will support the hotel’s Restaurants, Bars & Experiences operations in delivering exceptional dining experiences and maintaining Mandarin Oriental’s high service standards. This role focuses on operational support, guest service excellence, and coordination across RB&E outlets to ensure smooth daily operations.

The Restaurants, Bars & Experiences Intern reports to the RB&E Manager and works closely with Outlet Managers, Supervisors, and Service Teams across Restaurants, Bars & Experiences Outlets.

As Restaurants, Bars & Experiences Intern, you will be responsible for the following duties:

Restaurants, Bars & Experiences Operations Support

• Assist in daily operations of restaurants and/or banqueting services.
• Support service teams in delivering high-quality guest experiences.

Administration & Coordination

• Assist with basic administrative tasks related to RB&E operations.
• Support inventory tracking, requisitions, and outlet documentation.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth service flow.

Guest Experience & Communication

• Interact professionally and courteously with guests, responding to basic inquiries and requests.
• Support the team in handling guest feedback and service recovery when required.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless operations.

Learning & Development

• Learn about Restaurants, Bars & Experiences service standards, menu knowledge, and hygiene practices.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform other operational or administrative tasks as required to support the Restaurants, Bars & Experiences department.
