Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Jakarta is seeking a Front Office Intern to support the hotel’s Front Office team, delivering exceptional guest service and helping to ensure smooth daily operations. The intern reports to the Front Office Manager and will work closely with Reception, Concierge, and Guest Relations teams.

Based at the hotel, you will assist with check-in/check-out, guest inquiries, and concierge services, while coordinating with Housekeeping for room readiness and supporting front office

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
• Strong interest in guest service and hotel operations.
• Good command of English and strong interpersonal skills.
• Professional, detail-oriented, reliable and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Guest Service Support: welcome guests, assist with check-in/check-out and handle inquiries.
• Operations & Administration: update guest information, prepare daily reports and handovers, support trainee documentation.
• Communication & Coordination: liaise with departments to fulfill guest requests and assist with amenities and room readiness coordination.
• Event & Special Projects: assist in preparing logistics for VIP arrivals, group check-ins, or special events.
• Additional Responsibilities: perform other tasks to support Front Office duties.

About the Job

Based at Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta, the Front Office Intern will support the hotel’s Front Office team in delivering exceptional guest service and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role plays a key part in creating memorable first impressions, assisting with guest requests, and maintaining the highest standards of hospitality. The intern reports to the Front Office Manager and works closely with the Reception, Concierge, and Guest Relations teams.

As Front Office Intern, you will be responsible for the following duties:

Guest Service Support

• Assist in welcoming guests and providing check-in/check-out support.
• Help handle guest inquiries and direct them to appropriate services.
• Support concierge services including transportation arrangements and local recommendations.

Operations & Administration

• Record and update guest information in the property management system.
• Assist in preparing daily reports and handovers for Front Office staff.
• Support scheduling and documentation for Front Office trainees.

Communication & Coordination

• Liaise with other departments to ensure guest requests are fulfilled promptly.
• Assist in preparing guest amenities and special arrangements.
• Support communication flow between Front Office and Housekeeping for room readiness.

Event & Special Projects

• Assist in preparing logistics for VIP arrivals, group check-ins, or special events.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform other tasks as required to support the Front Office department.
