Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Limited in Jakarta is seeking a Finance Intern to support the Finance Department in daily operations, reporting, and compliance. You will gain hands-on exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost control, and financial analysis under the Finance Manager.

Responsibilities include processing invoices, assisting with monthly statements, data compilation for budgets, and collaboration with F&B, Rooms, and Spa for accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong interest in finance and accounting within the hospitality industry.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and financial software is an advantage.
• Good command of English.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with numbers accurately.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and maintain confidentiality.

• Help maintain accurate records of financial transactions in compliance with company policies.
• Assist in preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Assist in compiling data for budget tracking and variance analysis.
• Help monitor departmental expenses and provide insights to improve cost efficiency.
• Contribute to internal audits and compliance checks.
• Collaborate with operational departments (F&B, Rooms, Spa) to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Liaise with suppliers and external partners regarding billing and payment matters.
• Provide administrative support for finance-related documentation and filing.
• Assist in maintaining budget trackers and financial databases.
• Support the preparation of purchase requests and payment authorizations.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by the department head.

Job description

Based at Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta, the Finance Intern will support the Finance Department in daily operations, reporting, and compliance. This role provides hands‑on exposure to hotel finance functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost control, and financial analysis. The Finance Intern reports to Finance Manager and works closely with the Finance team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with MOHG’s standards.

As Finance Intern, you will be responsible for the following duties:

Finance Operations
