Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the work of restaurant staff to ensure smooth daily operations and adherence to service standards
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and delivery to maintain consistency with hotel standards and guest expectations
• Manage table reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow to optimise restaurant capacity and efficiency
• Train, mentor, and develop restaurant staff on service protocols, menu knowledge, and customer service best practices
• Handle guest complaints and concerns professionally, implementing solutions that ensure guest satisfaction and loyalty
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the restaurant environment, including dining areas, service stations, and back-of-house areas
• Collaborate with kitchen management to ensure timely food preparation and effective communication between front and back-of-house teams
• Monitor inventory levels, stock management, and cost control to support profitability objectives
• Prepare reports on restaurant performance, guest feedback, and operational metrics as required
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times

About the role

Valstar Hotel is seeking an experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our hospitality team in Badung, Bali. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to lead and manage our restaurant operations whilst delivering exceptional service to our guests. As Restaurant Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our dining facilities maintain the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, managing staff, and creating memorable dining experiences that reflect our commitment to excellence in hospitality.

What we're looking for

• 3–5 years of experience in a restaurant or hospitality supervisory role, preferably in a hotel or upscale dining environment
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-focused mindset
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, menu offerings, and dining etiquette
• Proficiency in restaurant management systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational challenges
• Fluency in English; additional languages such as Indonesian or Mandarin are advantageous
• Certification in food safety and hygiene or willingness to obtain such certification
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
