Job summary

Geotab is seeking a Field Service Technical Specialist to support customers, installation partners, and internal teams with technical expertise in vehicle telematics and installation standards. The role involves site visits, audits, and creating installer certification programs, while collaborating with Product and R&D teams on technical documentation.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in Telematics/installation, strong electronics knowledge, and the ability to travel up to 60% internationally.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
3–5 years field service/installation experience in Telematics or automotive.
Experience with OBD, CAN, SAE standards, and data interfaces.
Experience with hardware/software integration and data analysis.

Responsibilities

Deliver technical support across Geotab's installation and field services ecosystem.
Conduct site visits for telemetry projects and pilot programs; perform installation audits.
Create and maintain installer certification programs and installation guides.
Provide technical documentation and data requirements to customers and resellers.
Perform live installations for demonstrations or training when required.
