Job summary

April is seeking a Process Control Engineer to design, implement, and maintain advanced control systems for its chemical manufacturing processes. The role is remote-first with collaboration across global teams to ensure operational stability, efficiency, and safety.

You will work with DCS/PLC, develop control strategies, and support site personnel remotely. A strong background in chemical engineering and SIS is required, with emphasis on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial process control engineering within the chemical sector.
• Proficiency with distributed control systems (DCS) and programmable logic controllers (PLC).
• Strong understanding of control theory, instrumentation, and SIS.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement robust process control strategies and logic using DCS/PLC systems.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing control loops to enhance process performance and stability.
• Collaborate with site personnel to commission new control systems and provide remote support.
• Develop and maintain process control documentation, including P&IDs, logic diagrams, and alarm management strategies.
• Stay abreast of new control technologies and industry best practices to recommend improvements.
• Ensure all control systems adhere to safety and regulatory standards.
