Job summary

Techconnect.Id is seeking a seasoned Remote Process Safety Engineer to lead global process safety initiatives across our facilities in a fully remote capacity. You will develop, implement and audit PSM systems, perform PHAs (HAZOP/LOPA), and advise on risk reduction in a distributed team environment.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering with 7+ years in process safety, knowledge of OSHA PSM, and professional CSP or CCPSC certifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of process safety engineering experience in chemical/petrochemical industries.
• Strong knowledge of PSM elements, hazard analyses, and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA PSM).
• Experience leading remote or distributed teams.
• Professional CSP or CCPSC certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust Process Safety Management (PSM) programs in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct comprehensive process hazard analyses (PHAs), including HAZOP, LOPA, and What-If studies, for new and existing processes.
• Perform pre-startup safety reviews (PSSRs) and management of change (MOC) reviews remotely.
• Investigate process safety incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Provide expert technical support and training on process safety principles to engineering and operational teams globally.
• Monitor KPIs for process safety and report on compliance and risk reduction efforts.
