Job summary

PT Merauke Sugar Group seeks a senior engineer to establish standards and ensure reliability of plant control systems, including PLC/DCS/SCADA and Siemens PCS neo. You will review designs, provide technical recommendations, and coordinate contractor activities from installation to commissioning.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least seven years in plant control systems, with strong analytical and coordination skills to support asset management within the production

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 7 years in plant control systems, industrial automation, or instrumentation.
• Strong knowledge of PLC/DCS/SCADA; experience with Siemens PCS neo preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish standards and ensure operational reliability of Control System equipment.
• Maintain plant control systems including generators, boilers, utilities, and factory equipment.
• Review designs and provide recommendations on drawings such as SLD, P&ID, and wiring diagrams.
• Coordinate with design contractors, installation, and commissioning teams; guide asset management implementation.

Job description

Establish standards and ensure the operational reliability of Control System equipment for the production process, including generators, boiler systems, utilities, and factory equipment.

Maintenance and Reliability of Plant Control Equipment and Industrial Technical Information Systems.

Provide recommendations regarding justification, priorities, and technical specifications.

Review designs and provide recommendations on drawings, including SLD, P&ID, Wiring Diagrams, etc.

Coordinate with design contractors, equipment selection, installation, and commissioning teams.

Guide contractors in implementing the Factory Asset Management System within the plant asset management framework.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Plant Control Systems, Industrial Automation, or Instrumentation.
• Strong knowledge of PLC/DCS/SCADA, preferably Siemens PCS neo.
• Experienced in control system engineering, troubleshooting, maintenance, and reliability.
• Familiar with P&ID, SLD, Wiring Diagrams, design review, installation, and commissioning.
• Experience in CAPEX/project execution, contractor coordination, and technical specification development.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills; experience in industrial asset management is an advantage.
