Job summary

Ampd Energy, a leader in connected battery energy storage systems, seeks a field engineer/technician based in Jakarta to provide remote and on-site technical support, repair, and deployment for BESS products. You will travel to customer sites around Indonesia and work with the service engineering team in Hong Kong to resolve issues.

The role requires hands-on electrical expertise, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to train distributors and contractors.

Qualifications

• Trained as an electrical technician or electrician with renewable energy exposure.
• Experience around high‑power equipment and field service.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and manuals.
• Strong spoken and written English for customer interactions.
• Electrical license (unrestricted or restricted) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site technical support to customers and diagnose issues.
• Install, commission, and service BESS products at client sites.
• Train distributors and contractors in product usage and service.
• Troubleshoot faults and document root causes for knowledge base.
• Log issues, generate test/service reports, and coordinate with supply chain.
• Analyze product reliability and performance data to aid improvement.
• Assist in expanding services and training contractors in remote regions.
