Job summary

Ampd Energy in Jakarta, Indonesia seeks a hands-on Field Engineer/Technician to support and repair our BESS products. The role is remote-based with travel to customer sites across Indonesia and occasional after-hours work.

You will diagnose issues, document steps, and work with engineering teams to resolve complex problems. You will mentor distributors and contractors, install and commission systems, and help maintain spare parts inventory in the region.

Qualifications

• Trained as an electrical technician and/or electrician.
• Experience around high-power equipment and field service.
• Proficient in troubleshooting electrical systems and faults.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and manuals.
• Good written and spoken English for customer-facing work.
• Electrical license (unrestricted/restricted) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and local expert technical support to customers.
• Deploy, install and commission BESS products at client sites.
• Train distributors and contractors on servicing and use of products.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults to root cause.
• Document test and service reports; contribute to knowledge base.
• Analyze data on product reliability, usability and performance.
• Grow process by feeding back to engineering and sales teams.
• Coordinate with supply chain to manage spare parts inventory.
