Job summary

Yayasan Konservasi Alam Nusantara (YKAN) seeks a Regional Manager to lead conservation delivery in Pontianak and surrounding areas, reporting to the Deputy Director of Conservation Implementation & Information. The role supervises specialists and associates across technical, social, and operational components to ensure work plans and targets are met with quality and integrity.

• Collaborate with the Lead of Peatland Strategy, Program Development & Management on administrative, budgetary, and donor processes.
• Coordinate with Policy & External Affairs and Conservation Information to ensure accurate data collection and learning feedback.

Job description

Reporting to Deputy Director of Conservation Implementation & Information, Regional Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of YKAN’s conservation work within their region. They supervise specialists and associates who lead technical, social, and operational components, ensuring that work plans and targets are met with quality and integrity. They collaborate closely with Lead of Peatland Strategic for technical and scientific alignment; with Program Development & Management (PDM) on administrative, budgetary, and donor processes; with Policy & External Affairs for government engagement and subnational coordination; and with Conservation Information (CI) to ensure accurate data collection and learning feedback;

As regional manager, they hold primary accountability for implementation performance and stakeholder relationships at the regional level while drawing on these cross-functional partners for specialized expertise and support. This collaborative approach ensures consistency, efficiency, and the highest standards of program delivery.

This position is based in Pontianak.
