Job summary

Grab is seeking a senior regional commercial lead for Central Java and Yogyakarta. You will guide field-based sales teams, align regional priorities with central strategies, and drive merchant growth through campaigns, lending, and partnerships.

Expect extensive travel within the region and close collaboration with product and operations teams. The role demands deep sales leadership experience, strong stakeholder management, and fluency in Bahasa Indonesia with English basics.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in commercial sales, business development, or account management.
• 4+ years leading teams or managers.
• Experience delivering sales growth through merchant acquisition and development of existing accounts.
• Experience coordinating strategic projects and cross-functional initiatives from planning through delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, including the ability to align teams without direct authority.
• Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and basic proficiency in English.
• Experience engaging with AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional commercial execution through the Food Sales Manager, Mart Sales Manager, and Partner Operations, coaching them and aligning priorities across their teams.
• Coordinate sales planning across Food and Mart, and facilitate OKR-setting discussions to establish clear goals and ownership
• Drive strategic projects with your team, coordinating plans and dependencies with central stakeholders.
• Represent your region in cross-region and cross-territory discussions, sharing learnings and aligning on joint priorities.
• Support merchant growth through Campaigns, Ads, and lending solutions, working with the relevant product and lending teams.
• Oversee region merchant acquisition and portfolio growth, supporting key relationships with top merchant partners and escalations
• Build sound sales operations that align with central initiatives, yet applicable to the region's local nuances and team needs
• Use approved AI tools to prepare account briefs, streamline workflows, and develop merchant engagement ideas and data-protection practices.
