Job summary

Kulu in Bali is building an AI meeting assistant platform. We seek an infrastructure engineer to migrate from AWS to GCP, build monitoring from the ground up, and keep production healthy. You’ll own the real-time pipeline, deployment, and security, reporting to the CTO and joining a small, high‑bandwidth Foundation team in Bali.

You will work on WebRTC, streaming LLM sessions, Python backends, and observability, ensuring reliability, data integrity, and auditable operations as we scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production experience in DevOps, SRE, Cloud, Platform, or backend infra.
• Proven IaC experience with Terraform/OpenTofu.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus/Grafana, Datadog, ELK).
• Strong Python skills (asyncio, FastAPI) and shell scripting.
• Operational AWS and/or GCP experience, IAM and networking basics.
• CI/CD pipelines expertise (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or similar).
• Knowledge of distributed systems, data integrity, and security best practices.
• AI tool literacy; ability to read, write, and debug code with AI assistance.
• Fluent English communication; company language is English.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the realtime platform for Kulu’s AI assistant.
• Own reliability, performance, observability, and telemetry end‑to‑end.
• Own the LLM streaming session layer, lifecycle, and tool calls.
• Manage deployment across AWS and CI/CD pipelines; drive OpenTofu IaC.
• Maintain production platform and triage incidents with RCA and runbooks.
• Build services handling sensitive meeting data with privacy and auditability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions for scale, security, and data integrity.
• Write well‑tested, maintainable code with clear data models.
• Maintain documentation and promote operational excellence.
