Job summary

frontierinteractionscom is seeking an infrastructure engineer to migrate from AWS to GCP and to build a robust monitoring foundation. You will own the realtime platform, including WebRTC, streaming LLM sessions, and a Python backend, while ensuring security, observability, and reliability in production.

You’ll work closely with the CTO and a small, high-bandwidth team in Bali to ship end-to-end migrations and dashboards, and to maintain healthy, auditable systems as the company grows.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production experience in a DevOps, SRE, Cloud/Platform, or backend infra role.
• Production experience owning infrastructure as code (Terraform/OpenTofu).
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tooling (Prometheus/Grafana, Datadog, ELK).
• Strong Python (asyncio) and shell scripting (Bash).
• Operational experience with AWS or GCP and IAM/secrets/VPC networking.
• Hands-on CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and fault-tolerant design.
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL) and Redis in production.
• Security best practices for infra and apps.
• Fluent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Kulu’s realtime platform including WebRTC media, streaming LLM sessions, and Python backend.
• Own reliability, performance, observability of core services from rooms to recording pipelines and telemetry.
• Own the LLM streaming session layer, connection lifecycle, reconnection, tool calls, timeouts, and watchdogs.
• Own deployment and infra across AWS and CI/CD pipelines; drive infrastructure-as-code with OpenTofu.
• Maintain production platforms, triage incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and feed learnings back into runbooks and IaC.
• Build services handling sensitive meeting data with privacy, correctness, and auditability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions during scale, focusing on system correctness and data integrity.
• Maintain strong documentation and champion operational excellence; ship end-to-end migrations and dashboards.
