Job summary

Kulu in Bali is seeking an infrastructure engineer to join the Foundation team. You will migrate our systems from AWS to GCP, build monitoring from the ground up, and keep production healthy as we scale in a high-bandwidth environment.

Lead the realtime AI platform's reliability, with WebRTC, streaming LLM sessions, and a Python backend. Requires 3+ years in DevOps/SRE, IaC, CI/CD, security, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production experience in DevOps, SRE, Cloud or backend infra.
• Experience owning infrastructure as code (Terraform/OpenTofu).
• Knowledge of monitoring/logging tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK or equivalent).
• Strong Python (asyncio, FastAPI) and Bash scripting.
• Operational AWS or GCP experience; migration between clouds.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows.
• Understanding of distributed systems and security best practices.
• Fluency in English, both speaking and writing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the realtime platform for Kulu's AI assistant.
• Own reliability, performance, and observability of core services across the stack.
• Own the LLM streaming session layer with robust lifecycle and resumption.
• Manage deployments across AWS, CI/CD and IaC (OpenTofu).
• Maintain production platform and respond to incidents; close feedback loop.
• Build services handling sensitive meeting data with privacy and auditability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions for scale, data integrity, security.
• Maintain documentation and champion operational excellence.
• Ship end-to-end migrations and monitor dashboards post-deploy.
