Yummy Bites (PT Leon Boga Sentosa) is seeking an experienced R&D Manager in North Jakarta to lead food product development from concept to scale-up and commercialization.

You will collaborate with Production, QA, Procurement, and Marketing to ensure product safety, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance while mentoring the R&D team.

The role requires 3+ years in food R&D, snack/extrusion experience, and a strong track record in pilot testing and scale-up.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in R&D, food formulation, or product development within the food and beverage industry.
• Experience in snack manufacturing and extrusion technology is highly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of food formulation, ingredient functionality, and product development processes.
• Hands-on experience in product trials, pilot-scale testing, and production scale-up.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot product formulation and manufacturing challenges.
• Understanding of food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and quality management systems.
• Demonstrated team leadership and project management skills.
• Willingness to work on-site in North Jakarta, Indonesia.
• Good command of English is an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Lead new product development and existing product improvement initiatives.
• Develop and optimize food formulations based on product specifications, quality standards, and consumer needs.
• Plan and conduct laboratory testing, product trials, and pilot-scale experiments.
• Lead production scale-up and troubleshoot formulation and manufacturing challenges.
• Analyze trial results and recommend product and process improvements.
• Ensure product specifications, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage R&D projects, timelines, technical documentation, and reports.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the R&D team while collaborating with cross-functional departments.
