Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a construction-focused client in Karawang, Indonesia. The role centers on cost estimation, BOQ preparation, budgeting, tender pricing, and project cost control throughout the lifecycle.

You will work with engineering, procurement, construction, finance, and project management teams to ensure accurate cost verification, budget adherence, and profitability, with English proficiency and strong numerical skills essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 2–3 years in Quantity Surveying, cost estimation, or project cost control in construction/MEP.
• Hands-on in quantity take-offs, BOQ prep, budgeting, tender pricing, and cost estimation.
• Experience in contract valuation, progress payments, variations, and final settlements.
• Ability to read drawings (architectural/structural/MEP) and coordinate with teams.
• Proficiency in Excel and AutoCAD; familiarity with Glodon/Luban or similar software; BIM take-offs are a plus.
• Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and verify quantities for architectural, structural, steel, and MEP works; prepare BOQ.
• Prepare budgets, cost estimates, and tender quotations for labor, materials, equipment, and other costs.
• Review contracts related to quantities, unit prices, payments, and settlements; maintain cost registers.
• Identify cost deviations and propose cost-control measures to protect profitability.
• Prepare progress payments, verify quantities, and coordinate settlements with owners and contractors.
• Manage design changes, site instructions, and variation orders; assess impacts on budgets.
• Coordinate with procurement for material costs and supplier quotations; support cost-effective purchasing.
• Collaborate with BIM teams to reconcile model quantities with budgets and requirements.
